During these rapidly changing times, it is important to maintain your scheduled neuromuscular visits for your well being. Austin Neuromuscular Center is now offering telehealth visits as another way to stay in contact with us. The service allows existing patients as well as new patients to get the care they need when they need it without coming to the clinic.

There are times when it will be necessary to come in-person for the doctor to properly evaluate you.

How It Works

Step 1: Request a Telehealth Visit

Call us at 512-920-0140 to schedule a telehealth appointment. You can also log into your patient portal to request an appointment there.

Step 2: Prepare For Your Telehealth Visit

If you are signed up to receive emails and/or text messages from our office please complete the self-check-in process as soon as you receive the link to do so. If not, we can do this on the day of your appointment.

Step 3: Answer Our Check-In Phone Call

An office representative will call you 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete your intake process. They will only call twice so be sure to have your phone turned on with the ringer up.

Step 4: Attend Your Telehealth Visit

You will need a smartphone or computer to access our online waiting room. The link to attend your visit is: https://doxy.me/dryessarhussain
Once you click on the link all you will need to do is type in your name. This will alert the doctor you are ready. He will be with you shortly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can use the virtual visit option?
Our telehealth service is an option for most patients. Sometimes in-person visits are the best option for you in which case we will need to schedule a face-to-face appointment in our office.

When can I schedule my telehealth appointment?
Telehealth appointments need to be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Our office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday.

What types of visits can be done virtually?
Telemedicine is appropriate for a variety of care needs such as follow up visits, chronic disease management, medication management and reviewing tests or lab results. If you’re unsure if a virtual visit is a good option for you, call us at 512-920-0140.

Does insurance cover my virtual visit?
Most major commercial and Medicaid health plans cover telehealth visits the same way they cover in-person visits. Austin Neuromuscular Center checks for eligibility and benefits for each patient before each visit.

What payments are due at a virtual visit?
All co-pays, co-insurance amounts, deductible amounts, and outstanding account balances will need to be collected prior to you moving into the “virtual waiting room”. These amounts vary per insurance policy but will be the same as they are if you were coming into our office.

Who can I call for help?
Please call our clinic at 512-920-0140 if you have any questions.
